My proven philosophy to getting my clients' results

Updated: Sep 21, 2022

Everyone has a superpower. Sometimes these are natural talents, for others it comes from putting in the work each day and over the years seeing that a trend works time and time again. My training philosophy is my superpower that has been built from seeing my diverse clients achieve their goals by following my methods.

These 4 principles have been built on a decade of industry knowledge and include:

1. Injury Prevention

There is no need for high risk, or high weight activity that my client isn't ready for. When training, it's so important to build up overall strength and understand basic techniques prior to moving to a higher weight and complex exercises.

2. Body Mechanics

This is about guiding my clients through exercises that align to the natural movement of the body, with mind muscle activation and control. It involves the way I set up an exercise to move, activate and target their muscles throughout the workout.

Putting the body in the correct position is crucial to target the muscle of choice. For example, you can influence the area of the muscle that you are working on by knowing simple adjustments such as changing handgrips or the angle of your body.

Babies and children typically move in this way - watch a baby or a child pick something up and you may find yourself a perfect demonstration for a squat!

The reason why body mechanics is so important is not only because it links with injury prevention, it's also a really efficient way of working out. By hitting the right group of muscles that you intend to train can help with ensuring you achieve your goals sooner.

3. Balance

This is an element of my life that I love and will not compromise on. It's focused on understanding that life isn't always about being disciplined to achieve a goal; it's about finding both the commitment, joy of the accomplishment and taking the steps to being the person you want to be.

4. Consistency

This ultimately comes down to quantity and quality training time.

How you can leverage these philosophies

If you're looking for the missing ingredient to achieving your fitness goal, have another look at my 4 philosophies and maybe you can identify something you can amp up, or an element that is missing. You may find this to be a large change, or you can brainstorm ideas of really small activities you can improve today, or starting first thing tomorrow.
